Audi-Fest '97 - Update (020297)

It's been a bit of a while since I've updated the group. So, here goes.

Unfortunately, there is not a lot to report. There has been some work going
on in the background about contacting AoA and the QCUSA. I am waiting to
hear from a few people regarding such. When I hear more, I'll fill you in.

I've also contacted someone who hopefully will be able to fill us in on what
is going on out at Pike's Peak (i.e. time, tickets, hotels, etc...). If
there is anyone out there in the area that can also help find out about the
event, please let me know. I'd like to try to find out details regarding
ticket prices and availability, and as well, hotel availability. Could it be
that the event is already sold out? And if we can't shack up there
close-by.... where should we stay? Oh.. so many questions.... so many
details.... :-O

I've gotten some responses for help, and for such, it is much appreciated.
However, I think that we need to (better) establish some territories and
contact persons accordingly. I figure that once that happens, the
territorial contacts can plot out the travel route etc. Please keep in mind
that, IMHO, you do not have to "go the distance" to be the territorial
contact person. It would suffice even if you only plan to meet some fellow
q-listers passing through or gathering in the area. In other words, don't be
shy!! :-)

So, how about helping to set up the territories? I'm open for suggestions.
How about this for starters (forgive me for any geographic ignorance):

1. Northeast
2. Mid-Atlantic
3. Southeast
4. Midwest North
5. Midwest
6. Midwest South
7. Northwest
8. West Coast (i.e. CA)
9. Southwest

Please help clarify or add/subtract from this list. Am I missing anybody?

If you wish to volunteer for being the focal point of organization for that
territory, please let me know. We really need volunteers to get this thing
going.

Well, for those that don't care about all this.... sorry for the bandwith
(although you should have hit DEL or CTRL+D by now :-) ).

Thanks to all for listening.... stay tuned.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome anytime.
