I replaced my buzzing fuel pump after 120K on my V8. I noticed a great   
improvement on low-end to middle range acceleration and it is very quiet   
to boot! I was must have been running on lower than normal fuel pressure   
for the last two years - my advice is that if its making noise loud   
enough to hear when your in the car - REPLACE it!
