RE: Speeding?

I have seen people get out of tickets that have a GPS that gives their
speed as they go. I also subscribe to the HUMMER mailing list, and a
common problem they have is speedometers going out on them. Ironically,
one of the listers said he was going to the dealer to get that exact
problem fixed when he got pulled over for speeding (which he wasn't).
He was nailed with a Laser Gun that said he was doing 87 (Hummer has a
top speed of 83). He told the officer the problem with the speedometer,
and also told him there was no way he could be speeding because of the
top speed of the vehicle, and also showed him the GPS and how it worked
which said he was doing 63 at the time (in a 65). Needless to say he
did not get a ticket.

If you don't have proof, it is just going to be your word against the
officer. Good Luck!
