Yes... Clifford sells their remote locking unit separately from
their alarms, and I'm sure most other companies do, as well.  Just
like the factory remotes, my Clifford activates the factory alarm
system when I use it to lock the doors, and turns off the alarm
when I unlock the doors.

The integration is not perfect, though.  Since the Clifford
uses the one-button approach (push to lock, then push to
unlock), it can get out of sync with the state of the car.  Example:
if you lock the door (and activate the alarm) with your keys,
the Clifford unit doesn't know about it, so still thinks that
the car is unlocked.  So, the next time you push the key fob
button, the Clifford unit tries to lock the car (which is already
locked), and you have to push the button again to unlock it.
