 Ok gang, I got it!   Ummmm... weight differences!  Yeah, that's
 it!  See, the 92's had wood trim while the 93's had carbon
 fibre.   hahahaha!  Oh man... all this snow around here is giving me
 brain frost.  ;-)
 
 Ummmmm... any chance the tests just varied a little year to year? 
 I mean, look in several different auto mags for their 0-60 times
 and you'll notice they will be different from time to time or mag
 to mag.  
 
 I have heard that there was a recall regarding the trannies on the
 92 cars and I suppose it would be possible that something was
 changed in the 93's.  HMmmmm... I kinda doubt it though.

AofA confirmed *no* gearbox changes....and the German S6 comes standard with
the *same* ratios on the standard 5-speed tranny....and adds another gear
inbetween for the optional six-speed - having checked the German S6
brochure...
