Wrong filter, now what? & Rain-X removal success!!!

Over the weekend, I changed the oil in my '93 90 w/ the
2.8 V6... After draining the old and removing the old
filter, I discovered that the new filter the dealer gave
me had a different part number... ACK! Figuring there was
an equal chance that I'd be given the wrong one the previous
time and not wanting to soil 6 qts. Mobil 1 with a dirty
filter, I installed the new one....

Today, I got to the bottom of the mess and found out the
new filter I installed is the wrong one!

	old: 034 115 561 A (correct for a 1993 V6)
	new: 056 115 561 G (apparently for mid-80s 5-cyl)

So now what? The two filters *seemed* identical externally,
but who knows? Any chance of swapping filters w/o draining,
or will I loose all the oil anyway?? Should I just stick with
the wrong filter until the next change? I don't mind shelling
out another $10 for the right filter, but another $25 for the
oil hurts....

.....and.......

I've finnaly made significant progress removing the smearing
Rain-X from my windshield! I broke down and bought Rain-X's own
glass cleaner. I went through four cycles of scrubbing the window
(really hard, for a really long time) and rinsing, followed by towels
to remove any traces of the cleaner.

Then, I replaced the rubber in the wipers.

Now, it's not perfect, but I can see again!

Two notes: make sure you scrub *all* of the glass (otherwise the
wipers will pick up residue at e.g. the edge of the glass and
smear it around) and replace that rubber (else the old wipe the
residue back on again).

YMMV
