I'm not sure - but I don't think you have to change the grill to swap quads for
twins:

The quad lights (according to the Euro fiche) were fitted up to 85-C-902 000.
>From 85-D-900 001, lights 856 941 029 (left) and 856 941 030 (right) were
fitted, replaced after 85-F-900 001 by the "A" suffixes of those numbers.

I think the only difference is the slope.

Now - my reading of the microfiche suggests that the grill change (from 857 853
655 to 857 853 655B) occurs with the later headlight change - after 85-D-900
001. I don't think you need to do this - I think the quads and the _first_
H1/H4 twins (without the "A" suffix) shared the same (vertical) grill.

>From 85-D-900 001, though, a set of mouldings appeared - you will need these:

     857 853 835 Left upper
     857 853 836 Right upper
     857 853 841 Left lower
     857 853 842 Right lower

There are also two "retaining clamps":

     855 941 117 Left
     855 941 118 Right

And two pieces of trim:

     855 941 161 Left (Cibie)
     855 941 161A Left (Hella)
     855 941 162 Right (Cibie)
     855 941 162A Right (Hella)

That seems to be it, apart from a few screws. I would suggest you fax Tim at
The Parts Department and see if his conclusion is the same as mine.

My own views tend to moderation on bulbs. The important thing is the pattern,
but I'd certainly fit a 100w low H4 - a 100/130w is enough. I've gone down to
80w in the H1s now, and might go even lower - the scatter is quite bad.
