Re: Help - 91 100 CV joints won't come off



The trick is spreading the tips of the circlip.  This will force the circlip 
into a groove in the outer joint housing.  While doing the first impossible 
task, you must also strike the outer edge of the housing with a brass mallet.  
And as if that isn't enough, you really want to hold the joint straight in-line 
with the half shaft to force the blow in the right direction.  Otherwise the 
joint just turns, and you make no progress.  BTDT.  I have done more CV's than I 
care to admit.  Kinda like the Chinese puzzles ;)  but the joint without that 
circlip are always easier than the ones with.  Good luck, and happy striking
