Re: Obscuring in Code

 You've got the first part and actually it's the IA 2.0Bar box RSR Turbo
 (A Ned Ritchie Turbo... Blows the RS2 into the Weeds!) 2B is the 2'nd
 iteration of brake mods.

Well, now... Let's see, a hat, a turbo hat, got one somewhere here......
 Ah, here it is... Ok, turbo man here... Now, first off, the RSR is not a
term that refers to any K26 turbo that Ned, myself, TAP, PowerHaus, or anyone
else is familiar with. If I remember correctly, that was a term EF labelled
one of MY tweeked RS2 units 2B about 2 years ago. Care to supply some data
with that larger than life testymonial. "Blows the RS2 into the Weeds"...
 Ok, let's go thru this so EF doesn't need to do his homework for me....

CAR:
87 5ktq Pearl Black, Hail damage, 15X7 wheels, 215/60 D40M2, 1.5 neg camber
* 2.5 inch exhaust precat back
*  Stock Fuel system
*  Stock Cam
*  Stock intake/exhaust valves
*  Stock IC
*  Stock T-body
*  Stock EM
*  Stock IM
*  Stock Block
* 22psi (bleeding heart pressure transducer) Ned IA stage II box
*  WG spring adj

Ok, now a real experienced turbo nerd like me would look at the above, and go
hmmmm... Care to pop a flow number associated with the "RSR"? Blowing away
an RS2 without a MAP would require some measurement of air temp before and
after the IC, got those? Since I'm aware of most of the RS2's that are
currently floating around this country, which one did you "blow into the
weeds". Are you blowing stock RS2's into the weeds? Of the 2 stock, which
one? What about modified RS2 units? Do you have the map of the "RSR", the
RS2, or is this btdt stuff?... The hot side, is it 26 based, or larger? The
cold side, is it 26 based, or larger? Did you have any clearance problems
putting the cold side in? At what rpm does your Hg guage start the climb
from 30"? At what rpm do you get "full" boost? What is "full" boost now
that you've put the "big" guy in there, it's no longer 22psi, or is it? What
did you do to dial it back? What are you doing about fuel?

Given the flow numbers this nerd has tested, I just go, Hunh? A 2.2 liter
turbo motor cannot be more than 100% efficient, so the "blow" statement,
though sounds impressive, given the above parameters, sounds too good to be
true... Usually, when that presents itself, I tend to want to ask, is it?
 Nobody is reinventing the wheel here, you have so many options in each
k2x/3x series turbos, each with their own characteristics. Applying that to
the "real" world takes execution, evaluation, restart. Right now, I read
this, and say "wow2B"... After 10 swaps on my car alone of various configs,
common sense makes me think I just missed something really BIG here. Eric?

Turbo Man, and as always, facinated by claims
