I don't know about Audi's, but a guy torched his Twin Turbo Supra doing this.
He just pulled into a car wash, and started hosing away.  About a block away,
the engine compartment burst into flames.  There are steps you need to take
before cleaning the engine.  One of them is covering the distributor(saran
wrap works well).  I believe there are a few other components that need to
be covered depending on the model of your car.  Before you take the hose
to your Q, I suggest researching the proper method.
