Aaaaaaargh!!!!
I _WISH_ _WISH_ _WISH_ that Bosch had engraved:
"DISCONNECT & PLUG ALL BREATHER HOSES BEFORE ADJUSTING MIXTURE SETTINGS"
in iridescent orange letters on top of the air mass sensor. It should also be
tattooed on the backs of all mechanics' hands.
I just wonder what percentage of the drivers of fuel-injected Audis are driving
around thinking that their car's top-end performance is crap when the cause is
that a minor or major breather hose leak has been inadvertently covered up by a
mechanic too lazy to follow the manual. 90%?
It's perhaps a design fault in the Bosch system that the mixture adjustment can
only be performed at idle.
