MAC - ? in VERY early urq

Guy,

I pulled the ECU out of my '82 urq (purchased by the previous owner in 1/82)
today and was quite surprised to find that it is a MAC -. That is to say,
there is no number cast into the cast after the "-". Also, to my surprise
there is a "Repaired on 4/82" sticker affixed to the case which corresponds
to the ABT receipt I received from the previous owner. Amazing too, is that
he would buy it new in January of '82 for $30k+, then have the ECU modified
not 5 months later! I wish I had that kind of disposable income!

When Scott M. gets back to PDX, I hope he can shead some light on the eprom
mod. BTW, I took the ECU out to loan it to a Portland urq owner that is
having computer problems. Anyone have a Mac-2 for sale? Would prefer a
stock, IA, or RDH modified ECU. Not very excited about the superchips or
TAP mods, although, IA's stage 1 mod does appear to be a hack, not a
reprogrammed chip.

Any ideas on the MAC - designation? TIA.
