My .02, using my coupe as an example. 16 gallon tank. max to put in it,
about 16.2 gallons. The "reserve" portion is what is in it while the gauge
is in the red. In other words, my fuel gauge is divided into quarter
increments *above* the red, presumably when one hits the bottom fifth, the
red portion, one should start looking for that texaco moon. The "reserve"
amount is what you have at that point. Of course I usually run it down to
lengthen my refuelling interval, going by the fuel gauge and the trip
odometer to figure when the end is near.

PS Texaco Moon is a really good song by Curt Bessette. It's on his new CD
which I forget the name of. Will be picking up a copy tomorrow. Didn't get
to play on the album. :-(
