Robert,

We had a similiar problem on a 89 VW Fox, but on the drivers side and after
a long time of testing found the winshield was leaking at the bottom corner.
It sounds hauntingly familiar. focus the water flow at the bottom of the
windshield and feel and see if any water comes from any where under the
dash. Get those carpets and bottom of car dried out good!!
