Re: K Smith's bounces n/Audi

colin cohen <102621.2256@compuserve.com> had the temerity to write, perhaps
while smoking a WSJ:

"Kirby A Smith apologised to us for the bounces associated with his EMPLOYER's
server. His employer is Lockheed. So all you listers, please thank Mr Smith for
the great stock tip...short Lockheed Marietta [sic]...there is at least one of
us who
is using work time to participate on the list indicating much too much spare
time, too many employees, and future downsizing to come. Watch the WSJ for an
announcement."

which cannot be left unanswered lest he cause a new stock market crash. ;-)

Critical as my presence is among the 190,000 (odd) employees of Lockheed Martin,
my productivity is less likely to affect the stock price than the potential
disaster looming over the financial markets from roughly $3,000,000,000,000.
[yes, 3 X 10^12] in derivative churning that takes place world-wide every _day_.
My message noted above was propagated as soon as I was able to compensate for
the temporary inaccessibility of my email and my discovery that a gap in the
sequence of digests was likely to have caused an obnoxious bounce situation
(which is being looked into here by our internet crew.)

I work more hours than I'm paid for, although not necessarily synchronously with
others on the East coast. After 32 years, I wouldn't owe my employer time if I
got paid for a 2 year sabbatical. We have lots of work to do and are hiring as
fast a reasonably practical. Lockheed Martin has recently won several $big
programs in defense and space. Any of you who have a potentially appropriate
background should visit Lockheed Martin's web page [http://www.mmc.com/] for
employment information. Among employee perks relevant to the Quattro list is
high bandwidth access to the internet via numerous firewalls, as well as local
dial-in from our homes. And my employer, Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company,
one of the world's leaders in electronic and infrared countermeasures for land,
sea, and air vehicle protection, is conveniently located in range of Eurosports
Motorcar, making Audi ownership practical. [required Audi content and shameless
plug]

PS Colin. Recent history of the financial markets suggests a
postive correlation between downsizing and stock price appreciation.
