What Am I Missing?
Well, the timing belt is back on, all belts are in place, and
everything but the front bumper is re-installed. But my 1990 200
will not start.
Checked the timing marks on crank pulley and cam gear - they line up
correctly, and the distributor rotor is pointed at #1 plug wire when
both timing marks are lined up.
So I pulled the #1 spark plug wire loose at the distributor cap and
watched as my wife cranked: NO spark.
While I was working on the car, I did pop the distributor cap loose,
and pulled the #1 plug wire out of the cap (to mark its position) and
pulled the coil wire out, at the coil.
Is there something I don't know about those wires? With no spark,
I'm wondering if I did something to the coil wire.
Any ideas, friends??
