Re: Am I Just Lucky?

A->I've looked at the drawing of tool 2079 (you are correct) and it
A->appears to be simply an extension which sticks straight forward in
A->line with the center of the bolt - hence, much like using a 6"
A->extension in the socket. If this is an accurate perception, then the
A->torque would remain unchanged from the book spec.

A->Frankly, I wonder what the reason for the extension is....it looks
A->like it does nothing more than move the wrench attachment point about
A->6" out from the crank. I can't imagine that it would come out at 90
A->degrees to the bolt. I'm gonna torque that thing tonight. If I need
A->it tighter later, I'll tighten it.

al:
take another real close look at the bentley.
2079 only comes out 3 inches (tops) along the crank cl.
then it turns 90 degrees to go across the front of the engine.
the pivot of your tork wrench is 300mm away from crank cl with 2079.
