RE: 200TQ problems?
First, check out the archives (http://coimbra.ans.net/quattro.html) for
any mention. There are plenty of mails on this subject.
A short list:
- UFO brakes? Only a problem if warped (IMO). 91 only.
- Do all the electricals (seats, seat heaters, windows etc.) work?
- Do you get full boost? 1.8 (or 1.7 - the gauges are notoriously
inaccurate) in
3rd, 4th and 5th? In 5th you may need a little room to get there.
- Check that all the hoses in engine compartment are OK. The one
running from
the back of the intake manifold to the turbo bypass valve tends to
get fried and brittle.
That's what I can think of right now.
