Mustangs and Quattros

Remind me to never end up on Alan Jones bad side! I have a lot of
respect for Roush (sp?) and the Trans Am and IMSA car's he's built
over the years. But his Mustangs couldn't keep up with the Quattro's
when they went head to head. Hence, when both factories built the best
they could (Audi via Hoppen and Ford via Roush) under the respective
Trans Am and IMSA rules, the "euroshit" put the Mustangs (and the rest
of the herd for that matter) back in the corral. Matter of fact, it
was so bad that Audi was "uninvited" from Trans Am. And if memory
serves me correctly, during the middle of the IMSA season, despite the
fact that Audi was well within the rules, the "powers that be" added
ballast to the Audis and restricted their turbo inlet to "try and make
the series more competive" (e.g. keep the Audis from running away with
the show, which they did anyway). Not braggin' here Ford Man, just
stating facts that can be confirmed in any appropriate history book.
