I did this on an old Beetle by filling the tank and adusting the needle to
read just full. I let is get to the reserve mark, and filled it to same
point to see how much was left. I felt ok then with accuracy. I guess one
could keep doing this for a few time to get it exact, but I don't know how
much work you need to do the adjust your gauge. The old beetle was easy.
