Re: Audi Toolbox III: Multimeters

Listers before you freak out on the price of the Flukes (and they are the
covetted toys, but since I got the SunPro, the Fluke stays inside the house
most of the time) Igor posted....

The SunPro 7678 is an automotive diagnostic MM that sells for under 100USD
(Sears, Pep Boys, Murrays, Trak Auto), it is auto ranging and fused (so you
MM challenged can learn/do basics without blowing the thing up), the nicest
feature is the autoranging continuity tester.... It has that familiar Fluke
feel and build quality, is somewhat weather resistant (claimed, not sure what
that really means), and has some good quality leads with clip adapters
included..... Be advised that it doesn't have any A/C diagnostic
capability... It does have both DC and Dwell.... If all you are using it
for is automotive diagnostics, this belongs in the Audi toolbox for sure, the
B4B is high.... The toys Igor is describing from Fluke are overkill for
basic audi stuff.... The 7678 can be used for 90+% of audi diagnostics...

BTW, for that price you have to buy your own 9v battery
