Humanitarian cat cure
As the owner of the two coolest cats in the free world, I take a little
offense that you'd take the life of someone's pet for a few muddy
pawprints. Get a grip on yourself, man. Sure, we all love our Audi's and
having them clean is certainly a matter of pride, but you obviously park
outside where tree drippings, dust, rain, birds and all manner of real life
will take their toll. If cleanliness is that important to you, build a
garage, buy a cover, or move.
Having said that, I DO know of a trick that might work. Buy a large
container of red pepper and sprinkle it around the car and on the
horizontal surfaces each time you park (it's the warm car your little buddy
is most interested in). The cat's paws will pick some up, (and other parts
if they sit/lay down). The inevitable licking/cleaning will bring the
lesson home, and cats are very good at pairing nasty events with the place
it happened. Works on gardens, too. Usually only takes one successful
episode and the cat will develop an immediate aversion to THAT car, and/or
ANY car parked THERE.
After writing this post to Tim, but before sending it, I finished reading
my mail and came across a number of posts on cats I consider offensive.
Sure, many were done in jest, but I find suggestions on various ways to
maim and injure someone's pets unacceptable on its face no matter what the
lightheartedness factor. Please consider this in the future. And spare
me the replies questioning my manhood over this humanitarian request - if
you knew me personally, you'd never insult me to my face. Trust me on that
one.
