Re: Exploding Cats
Just remembered a story about one of our machinists, involving cats.
One day this guy asked the foreman for an assignment in the shop, vs. in
the field, because he needed to be close to the phone when his wife
called. It seems he had run over her cat while backing the car out to
go to work.
The sympathetic foreman told him ok, but that it might be better if the
machinist were unavailable until his better half cooled down. The
machinist replied that he wasn't in trouble, he had to _console_ his
wife. After running over the cat, he had put it under her RR wheel, and
she never checks behind the car before backing, either.
Required Audi content: the wife drove an Audi. (This last is
apocryphal, but it's been a rough weekend. R&R'd the rear suspension
_again_, to get some measurements on the shocks and to build in a little
more ride height until I get the right spring perches for the
coil-overs. Looks like the shocks will need a new groove for the split
ring farther down the body.)
