Stop the Insanity!
When the (assumed) newbie replied to a digest without trimming it down to something that would be read, I held my fingers, counted to ten, and let it go. I figured that there were others out there who probably would have a pre-cooked message to send to this poor, mis-guided neophyte that would get the job done and do it politely (or not, I don't really care).
When that faux-pas is replied to in a similarly un-edited fashion though, I have to write something. For all of you not around during the last round of "trim your posts" tirades, I have two little suggestions.
Do NOT include an entire digest in your posts.
Include ONLY the relevant bits of the post you are replying to.
Save us all the aggravation of wading through a bunch of stuff we've all read before to get to what you've written. I, for one, will delete the message without reading any of it. Most of those on the list will do likewise.
Please, keep your posts short and to the point. I'm trying to help you.
