Note to the list

I've commented before on something that annoys me - posts to the list with a
MIME flag set that have no MIME content.

This morning I got 14 in a row. Which means hitting "Multi-part post -
more to come" 14 times, pressing "Yes, decode this post" 14 times, pressing
"Yes, show it with the default browser" 14 times, etc.

So - I have added a REXX filter to the "quk@sievers.com" id - any posts
arriving with the MIME flag set and no MIME content will be deleted before
reaching the mailbox. Yes - I could change my mail browser. But I have better
things to do and I have a great deal of automation in message processing that I
just can't see how to achieve with any of the "modern", "pretty picture"
email clients.

There are only about three of the regular posters affected:

              phwomp@cosmoslink.net
              miktip@worldnet.att.net
              shields@tembel.org

Maybe I'm just being a crotchety old curmudgeon, but this is really
pissing me off - maybe far beyond what is justified - and I apologise
to those affected. It's nothing in the posts themselves.
