If the paint hasn't been broken, you may not have to paint the car after
fixing the dent. There are companies such as Dent wizard, Dent Pro, et
al, who can repair most door dings for around $65. When I worked at a
dealer this past summer I used them numerous times and it always amazed
me how nice of a job they did.
They cannot fix dings that have support structure behind them.
