I learned about the alternative clutch/plate from George Baxter
(215-788-6012) who has done this mod to his 84 urq. He can give you PN's and
advice. I resurfaced and lightened the original flywheel just a bit. It acts
as a heat sink and also contributes some low end torque so don't go too far
with out looking at the trade offs. You do get faster spin up to boost
territory but these engines don't have a lot of low end to spare.  There was
a plastic sleeve in there that I replaced with a metal upgrade, and you could
also do the shaft bearing. Look at all the seals, sides and rear. Its easy
with the trans out. Good time for a trans and diff oil change, too.
Centerforce will rebuild and resurface your existing clutch parts to dual
friction for about $200. Its only money.....the never ending list!
