Me too (3 4kq's that is) and none have been too bad to fill. My 88 80q was
much worse, couldn't get gas into that car at all with some pumps...yes, even
with the 9:00 trick.
The key seems to be; insert as little of the fuel nozzle as possible (don't
go there Bob...), and use a slower setting on the nozzle auto-shut-off (read
take your time and be patient!). I always considored this a minor
inconvenience due to the tank location and orientation (verticle behind the
back seat). OTOH, no Audi I have owned was as bad as the '92 F-150 pickemup
which sprayed fuel everywhere before the fuel nozzle auto-shut-off
functioned...2 tanks, 20 gallons each, and having to wait holding the handle
to manualy turn off the pump before getting sprayed...talk about fun fueling.
