Hedgehogs!

March 1, 23:50, Channel 4.

It's black and white, and contrast-enhanced (semi-solarised). A
hedgehog starts to cross a road. A Welsh mountain road in the slate
country? Cut - an A4 from the front, badge indistinguishable. Cut to
hedgehog, starting to waver and wander. Cut to car - four rings now
perceptible - hedgehog from above - car from above. The car is taking
bends at improbable speeds and without body roll, so speeded up. Colour
arrives - a leaf floats down onto the hedgehog and sticks on its spines.
The car is getting closer.

All of a sudden they meet. The car stops without effort, inches from
the hedgehog. The hedgehog looks at the car. Suddenly, the leaf
falls off the hedgehog's back as if the hedgehog were on the ceiling.

The hedgehog looks up - or down? Is it on the ceiling? The world
inverts - the hedgehog falls after the leaf, but the A4 stays where
it is.
