Sydney...
You DO appear to be crazy as a hedgehog, but that's not only recommended,
it's almost a requirement for a true quattrohead. Sooo....
Your sig mentions a '94 Subaru SVX? Sell it. Edminds gives a ballpark
figure of about $13k for the least optioned car; even in less than fine
condition you'll be able to get over $11k, I'll bet. Edmunds also gives a
price of around $8.5k for a '90 200 turbo Quattro (5000 w/ different
nomenclature), and earlier 200tqs and 5000tqs go for less. (A '92 200tq [20
valves-even faster] lists at only about $1k more than your Subaru.) Be
patient (drive the GLH in the meanwhile). Find a low mileage version of the
car (under 100k mi...these Audis, for all their little imperfections, jes'
keep on going.)for under $10k, spend some money making it right...there are
a LOT of easily available mods, if you want to play....and speed off into
the sunset.
Sabutin
P.S. Don't worry about your father...a couple of minutes at 140 mph
should cool him out nicely. And don't worry about things breaking...they
will, it's part of the game. Be happy you've got the Turbo GLH to deal with
your jones while the Audi's being fixed.
(P.P.S. jones: street word for addiction.)
