Coil Springs, 1990 200 tqs

Oh-learned ones!

Ultra sub-zero weather and Vermont back-roads have wrought their wrath
(please note: Not Blaming the Four-Ring Gods). Right front pass. side coil
spring fractured near the base, causing a "droop" of about 2 inches. So I
need to replace the coil spring--and probably should replace both front
springs in the interest of perfect symmetry. Which means that the shocks
on either side will be taken out and it **might** be wise to replace them
as well -- ah -- because -- ah -- it's -- (don't know the rationale).

Question #1: What is a decent price for a pair of front coil springs and
where can I get them. Linda???

Question #2: Should I replace the front shocks (103K miles) --they don't
feel "mushy" but what the heck. Keeps the Tutonic_Deities_Pleased with my
guardianship of *Their* creation. If I should replace, recommendations?
I rarely drive faster than 80 but have been know to go 140, I don't pull
more than .4G on the turns, but if shocks are recommended than I will
surely consider them. (Would prefer to spend the same bucks on Hella XLs
or a chip or Mein Kare Leaterhosen/Audi Seat Leather Kleaner or whatever.)

I trust that a few of you might tender advice and if so, TIA.

that the average Audi age is 6.7 years. Just that Vermonters, being
frugal, know a good thing when they drive it -- up a 26% grade on "black
ice" to the ski area, happily passing NY City Yuppie Stockbrokers (did I
offend anyone???) who have Jeep-Toyota-LandRover-Whatever 4-wheel things

screaming in the back seat and the old man is wondering about that awesome
thing that just breezed by him as if on dry pavement.)
