Yes! First off, don't pay dealer price!!! I just bought a rear (for a 4kq but
they are about the same thing) for $22.00 from GPR...had to buy an oil filter
($3.00 for mahle BTW...good price on that too) just to make a minimum order!
Also there is another place that does "repair kits" (Mountain Audi? they
advertise in EC and are probably on the vendor list too) which were written
up in EC.

Next, a good idea for preventative maintenance is to remove the door handles
and lube the contact plate the door handle mechanism hits to unlatch the door
periodically...less stress on plastic and pot-metal = longer door handle life
(hopefully)...HTH
