My own experience with British cars stems from owning a '67 Rover 2000TC for the
past 27 years. (I now have three good ones and three parts cars.) Much of the
time the original TC was our only car and currently has about 200kmi on it,
don't know exact mileage as.. uh, er the, ah ododometer has occasionally taken a
holiday. I have faced as many as three simultaneous and unrelated electrical
problems and the occasional puff of smoke from under the facia panel. The
secret to owning British cars is to run them constantly so they don't
deteriorate and to maintain them constantly from having to run them...
constantly.
If Lucas made guns, wars wouldn't start.
