I have just purchased an A4 1.8T 5 speed (which was confirmed on US soil
just this week!)
I'd like to add a few comments to this price thread:
It isn't true that these cars aren't being discounted.
I paid $26,786.00 (plus tax and tags) for mine.
It had the following options:
Quattro
5 speed
Sunroof
All weather
Sport package
Cool shade yellow
I used the Edmunds pricing guide and added $1200 profit for the dealer.
The dealer then reminded me that they also pay a $300 national advertising
fee per vehicle. So we came to agreeing on the $26786 price.
Additionally, the current Edmunds book does quote a 2% holdback for Audi.
My dealer was kind enough to confirm this to me. I've confirmed with
Edmund's that it isn't on the website due to an oversight.
Good luck Wheeling-and-Dealing,
Mike
