groaning noise during left turn

Hi,
Regarding the groaning noise in left turn,
I have a mechanic test drive the car, he does not think it's the wheel
bearing or the cv-point, because he took the car through a lot of tight
turns, left and right.  The car ran great.
The groaning noise he thinks it's the scrubbing of the right passenger
tire during hard left turn.  However, we could not find evidence of
scrub marks.
He recommends rear wheel alignment. (I just had front done 3 weeks ago.)

Do you think rear alignment could cause the problem ?
The 90q actually runs very well except that one noise.
