Strut Bearings
My mechanic has spent three days going over the 200, and he is
stumped on the clunk. He has owned three, they all did it, and never
hurt a thing.
He thinks that inner control arm bushings would make more of a rattle
than a clunk, and he doesn't want to charge me for putting in
bushings I might not need.
His remaining suspicion is strut bearings.
Question:
Can the strut bearings be replaced by compressing the springs and
working with the strut in place, or must the struts be removed???
Thanks...
