ads

In my last car, I installed 2 pair of ads 320i component speakers and a six
way power amp...I bridged a pair for the front and got 80 *real* watts per
channel front, 40 for the rear.

I had the system for 9 years, never had *any* trouble with the ads stuff,
and enjoyed the sound immensely...I'm an audiophile, btw, worked for a year
for a quality hifi shop in Boston (Tweeter, etc), and own the following
equipment:

adcom pre amp/tuner
adcom power amp
adcom cd player
Nak 3 head tape
B&O linear tracking turntable (for you youngsters on the list, it was a
crude system that dragged a nail across a round piece of vinyl...it was,
uh, smoother than CD, they say...prolly cos the nail smoothed out all the
bumps on the vinyl <g>)
Speakers are a couple of pairs of old B&O bookshelf...not hifi, not
bad...just place holders until I have a room that will take a pair of
MagnaPlanars.

IAE, the ads car system was wonderful...all I needed to finish it was a cd
player and a subwoofer...I bought enough power for the latter...just never
needed it enough to actually go through the hassle of building a tight
enclosure for the subwoof...

RAC - The Bose system in my '90 is *not* wonderful.
