Autojumble/ Audi brochures & stuff (long)

Hi all,

A visit to 'Vehikel' here in Holland today, one of the largest classic car
shows/ autojumbles of Europe, yielded some nice Audi brochures.

What I got:
Audi TT Coupe/roadster brochure, 2/96
Audi Avant RS2 brochure, 3/95
Audi S2 sedan/Avant brochure (*very* rare), 7/93
Audi Quattro brochure (UrQ), 1/88
Audi Quattro brochure (all Q models, *including Sport Q*), 2/85

I'll post the S2/RS2 specs to the list someday, if anybody's interested.

What I didn't get (way too expensive)
Press material for launch of new A6 incl. CD-ROM (straight from Geneva)
Press material for Audi TT (beautifully made)
Press material for Avus Quattro
Press material for Quattro Spyder

All in all, a nice autojumble. No Audis on display, but plenty of its
forebears: DKW club with a nice display of 2-stroke DKWs and the NSU club,
with among others an Ro80 (wow!) and a Wankel Spider (very nice, very rare)

I also found a 1:43 Schabak model of the S6 plus Avant, and some nice Audi
books:

-Audi Quattro Gold Portfolio (Brooklands Books, ISBN 1 85520 3030): a
collection of UrQ road tests 1980-1991 from several magazines (US and UK),
including Treser oddities and some rallying info. Nice stuff, a must-have
for UrQ owners and nice for those interested in the cars. Repro quality
so-so (black and white repro of full-color stuff is rarely a success) but
superb info.

-Road & Track on Audi & Auto Union 1952-1980 (R&T/Brooklands ISBN 0 948207 87 6)
An oddball collection of history articles on the '30s A-U race cars, plus
some '70s production Audis road tested, mainly US models. Nice stuff for
those interested in the background of the marque, or who want to reminisce
about Audis past (Fox, 100LS etc)

-Road & Track on Audi & Auto Union 1980-1986 (R&T/ Brooklands ISBN 0 948207
88 4) A balanced collection of reprinted road tests, model introductions
and other relevant stuff. Very interesting for those who want to know how
their car was received when new, or who want to read up on '80s Audis in
general. For horror, there's some Treser Audis reviewed. Like the above
volume, this is mostly US-centred info. For both R&T books the repro
quality leaves a lot to be desired, but the info's good. Recommended.

Finally, a question: has anybody seen the video 'Quattro racing in the
USA'? If so, is it any good? TIA for your replies.

Bye,

Tom

PS One trader had parts fiches for sale. The only mildly interesting one
was about gearboxes though. At least now I know what these look like!
