Re: audio, no Audi content

Just a whiny plead: can we take the "o" off the "audio" and get back to Audi
content??? As a cunsumer electronic industry professional for the past 20
years I would prefer to discuss audio stuff in that forum if I choose to
(which I really don't...it ain't my passion any more). I have and will
continue to reply to Audi/audio related posts as in the past, but when it
comes to brand/feature comparisons it gets a little old...and opinions (many
ill founded IMP-rofessional-O) are just that. I am happy to discuss audio
stuff via private e-mail, I have and will continue to. It is nice to have a
good mid-fi to hi-end system in a nice driving car like a quattro,
consequently equipment choice and installation information is
relevant...buuuut-the ranking of brands??? hmmm. BTW Pioneer doesn't do ES
(that is Sony)...Pioneer does "Premier" series for their high end (an
illustration of the ranking confusion). Ranking brands is pretty vague...try
ranking the brands of Japanes cars for example-pretty much the same IMNPO
(non-professional)...rant mode off

PS: FWIW I use Hafler, SAE, ESS (the old Nelson Pass stuff), and Sony ES in
my home audio systems...but does anybody really care!!!??? I don't...it all
sounds good, and I enjoy music on it, but it has no bearing on my quattro
enjoyment!
