Re: 200 Questions / Rather legnthy
Jeez Brian, what a nightmare and hell no you are not being picky. The insurance
company and recommended body shop are supposed to make your car as it was before
the accident. Make sure you document, in writing (you already have most of it)
every event that was likely caused by the accident/body shop. Keep sending a
copy of the written record to the insurance company, body shop and Audi dealer,
CCing the appropriate parties. If your car is not fixed to your satisfaction,
send a letter and your attached written record to your state insurance
commissioner. If that does not do the trick, contact your local TV stations and
see if any of them are interested in this newsworthy event (one of our stations
has a consumer reporter that does just this (companys hate seeing themselves
looking like shmucks on TV). If that doesn't do the trick, find out if your
state has a consumer protection act that deals with the insurance company and
the body shops and if so, seek the advice of local counsel and see if the
problems can be settled without litigation.
