Re: Coupe Quattro rotor warpage
I would advise against drilled rotors regardless of who actually does
the drilling. Drilling rotors will only lessen the rotor mass and actually
leads to warpage because it takes less heat to warp less mass. I actually
put drilled rotors on my '91 Toyota Cressida (please no replies, I know it
was ridiculous), they didn't warp, but God were they loud!
There was a HUGE thread about this on the BMW list, where the consensus,
if there ever can be a consensus on an email list, was that gas-slotted
rotors will outperform drilled rotors and smooth rotors everytime. So, if
anyone is wondering what gas-slotted rotors are... uh, I don't know, but
they SOUND cool!!
