Re: 1.8Tq manual first impressions...
I guess I'm old fashioned, but it doesn't strike me as wise to go to
redline with a brand new car right off the lot. Maybe manufacturing
processes have changed over the years, but I've always followed a rather
rigid schedule of breakin and typically have engines lasting well past
100K miles if not right past 200K miles.
Don't mean to be critical; I just would like the list's feelings
on the need to breakin or not.
