     Jim,
     On my '85 ur-q I removed the ash tray and lighter console and 
     fabricated a a platic panel to fit in its place. I trimmed the panel 
     in leather and it looks stock. There's room in the panel for two 
     gauges, at the moment I have a boost guage and will eventually add an 
     exhaust temperature gauge. It's not perfect in terms of readability 
     you need to glance down to check the readings, I think Dava Lawson 
     fabricated a guage box to sit on top of the dash similar to the 
     earlier style Abt box? This would be a much better location for eyes 
     on the road driving - this is the main reason I chose not to use the 
     cubby hole down on the left.
