91 200q Brake Problem

Audi Auficiaonados,
	The brakes on my 91 200q exhibit the following 
symptom: When I step on the pedal, then quickly let off 
and brake again, the brakes feel stronger the second time. 
They were bled several months ago, and that improved 
things for a time. Do I need a master cylinder? Is the 
dreaded bomb heading south? TIA
