A4 vs 90

(1) The A4 and the 90 are very different. The A4 is generally received much
better than the 90,
particularly in execution of design details and steering feel (they use the
virtual steering geometry of the A8)

(2) The 90 had two distinct runs
 - 1988-1991 was more "aero", smaller trunk, no folding back seat, I-5 engine,
10V and 20V models
 - 1992-1995 was more A6 look, larger trunk, folding rear seat, V6 engine only

(3) The "old" 90 had a fairly comfortable rear seat, but a very small trunk.
For skiing its a 3-person car.
Many Qs cannot accomodate a ski sack, so racks are required. Gas tank between
rear seat and trunk.

(4) The 20V 1990-91 Qs were essentially 4-door coupes. Free-revving engine,
many had sport suspension.

(5) The 1992-95 cars were somewhat softer suspended, more "numb", but still
quite nice.

(6) The A4 has the 1.8T engine option

(7) Generally, the newer the audi, the better the reliability/quality

(8) All had good durability of major components if maintained
