The "graphite black" is actually a very dark grey metallic. It doesn't
really look like black. It's a good looking color and I have seen more
Coupes in graphite than white. The graphite metallic black was popular and
can be seen on other Audi models as well. The graphite paint and the dark
grey carpeting of the C.E. interior are nearly an exact match. This
combination of "very dark grey" and red does not look the least bit weird. I
also prefer white Coupe's over other colors.
I almost passed on my '87 because of the white interior, but the 2.3 engine,
and rear disc brakes helped me to overlook that. I have grown to like it.
It makes the interior seem more spacious when compared to my two previous CE
Coupes with the red. But I would still choose red over white.

You know, my first comments about the white/red combo weren't directed at
anyone and weren't intended as an insult. And yet you seem to have exactly
that intent above. Let's move on, shall we?
