I couldn't agree less. I've used A-509's on everything from my little
Yugo to Saab 9000 Turbo to CRX Si to Toyota MR2. Excellent grip in dry
and wet weather. The easiest wasy to find out if people like them and
think they are grippy is to check out local autocrosses and road race
events. In our area the street tire auto-X class consists of 23 sets of
A-509's and 3 sets Dunlop D40m2 for the bigger Vette's and one set Euro
BFG's on lowered Civic. They don't have the grip of my A008RSII's, but
hey also give me 30K miles of year round driving including snow a few
times. I drive a 4,500 fto to 5,800ft down to 1,900 ft pass weekly on the
twisty side of the mountain.
