Opinions on tires(detailed ?, so rather long)

I would like to know opinions on two tires. I am considering mounting
Dunlop Sport SP 8000 tires in a 195/55 size($106) on my tiny 14" Alpine
White R8 wheels because I am desparately seeking more turn-in and grip,
i.e. a lower profile "Z" rated tire. The only other choice is the
Potenza RE 71, which is not "Z" but "V" rated and thus considerably less
at $75 through Tire Rack. Neither tire is designed for the snow, I know,
so I plan to buy snows next winter. What I am looking for is an ultimate
tire that will give me a HUGE INCREASE(see below for reference tires) in
performance in dry weather, a SIGNIFICANT INCREASE(maybe even equal to
dry performance if possible) when wet at high speeds(IOW tire exhibits
minimal hydroplaning, as I like to drive fast in the rain on the highway
- gets the blood goin'!), and, lastly(PI), I would like them to last but
do not expect it.
Money matters, but in order to get around that somewhat, I intend to
buy and mount two at a time. I KNOW, I KNOW! Before telling me size,
tire differences and whatever else will dangerously affect handling, I
want you all to know that it won't be for long and I will take it easy
in the meantime. My front Yokohams are in dire need of replacing, but
the rears are really quite good. I cannot rotate my tires because the
rear wheels are too out of round to be mounted in the front, so as a
result the fronts have been defenseless from my unceasing aggressive
accelerating, thus leaving 'em treadless. What I plan on doing is buying
two tires for the front wheels and having them mounted and balanced to
immediately solve my 'no tread' problem. A short time later(~2 wks.), I
plan on having the rear wheels straightened to solve my 'only two wheels
are round' problem. Finally, I will buy two more tires, have them
mounted and balanced on the straightened(rear) wheels, and rotate the
fronts to the rear so I can put the NEW tires mounted on the
STRAIGHTENED wheels in the FRONT! Thus, when all is 'said and done,' the
final result will be 4 new tires mounted on 4 straight wheels with the
capability to rotate them as required!! The silver lining: I should have
an incredibly smooth, vibration-free ride(something I used to take for
granted) with serious grip!! :-) ....Can't wait! ...But it's funny how
having 2 or 3 badly warped wheels can make getting a smooth,
shudder-free, and vibration-free ride again a much more appealing
thought than getting grippier and meaty tires, which is usually way up
there on the maintainance list for anticipation and smiles. ;-)
I have experience with the following tires: I. Michelin MXV(on when I
bought car used - the 185/60 size needed to go quickly); II. Michelin
MXV4(didn't know enough about tires to switch brands, but knew I wanted
195/60s...quiet with long life(50K miles), but not a great performing
tire); III. BFG Comp T/A HR4(best tire I have experienced yet/great
dry, good wet/but only 26K miles) IV. Yoko A509(2nd best - doesn't say
much/very good, if not great, in the wet/look aggressive/IMHO better
than what another lister stated recently about performance, but worse
with regards to life[ONLY 20K miles!!, but I have gotten MUCH better at
cornering, accelerating, and braking[i.e. driving] at the limit in the
last two years and that may have taken its toll]).
******* Main Question: ********
If any lister has similar experience AND/OR knows HOW the Bridgestone
Potenza RE 71 AND/OR Dunlop Sport SP 8000 tires PERFORM/LAST/SOUND(my
order of importance BTW), please help as I am close to a crossing point.

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH and SORRY for the EXCESSIVE BW! Most of the
above was not really *required* to pose simple opinion question, but I
thought my present situation and background experience might help.
						TIA! Allan
p.s. Regarding BW: Besides, my signature is essentially 2 words....some
are longer than entire post above! ;)
