Re: Immobilisers... Don't even think about one

Don't even talk to me about The Immobiliser. I own an Auto Customizing firm
in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The local Immobiliser guy was trying to "court" my
partner and I into selling the product. Talked about his "trained installer
network". Yeah, right. Anyway, they installed two "free" Immobilisers for
us. One in my 89200T ( flawless car from day one), and in my partner's 89
944s.

Well, two days later, my battery was dead, my engine was seized. ( caused by
hydro-lock, a condition that occurs when a monkey wires your car so that the
fuel pump constantly runs, fills the cylinders to capacity so that the engine
doesn't even turn over. ) There was so much gas in the cylinders after I had
it flatbedded to the local dealer (thank god for my relationship with them)
that when the spark plug was removed the mechanic was sprayed with gas.

After a month without my car (luckily I still had my Jetta GLI 16V sittin
around), $1300, and countless conversations with Immobiliser, and putting up
with their BULL, you know what the Immobiliser rep said? The installation
was "gorgeous". GORGEOUS!!!! So gorgeous that it caused $1300 dollars
damage to my baby. This simpering, ignorant, imbecyllic, pompus ass had only
that to say to me. In the end, the local outfit paid for the damage as
Immobiliser left them in the dust. We parted company, and the guy who sold
me on the idea( the best part of this), now works for me. So DO NOT GET
ONE!!!!

Oh, BTW, my partner's Porsche, his stopped working, they had no record of an
installation ever being done in their secret "database" in Houston, and they
had to come out and install another one Free of charge.

Their slogan is "Over a million installed and NO thefts reported"

Yeah, I couldn't even start the damned thing, and I had the KEY!!!

Thanks Immobiliser.
