RE: Help! Coupe Quattro puking fuel



It gets noisy if the honeycomb starts to physically come apart, but I
would think it wouldn't be noisy if the catalytic element is still
physically intact but no longer capable of catalyzing the unburned
gasses in the exhaust.

Jon's predicament may have screwed up the kitty's ability by saturating
the honeycomb element with gasoline. I remember from somewhere that if
the mixture is off (like too rich) you can fry the kitty. Pure gas is
*too* rich a mixture, dontchaknow.

All of this is speculation on my part. There must be some "experts" out
there. Ferris? Anyone?
